SocialEyes was launched in 2010. SocialEyes's solution is social video conferencing. The service runs as a Facebook application where it can leverage the social graph of the social networking giant. It can also be run from SocialEyes.com but it still requires Facebook.
SocialEyes recently received $4.5M in Series A funding and was founded by Rob Glaser, Founder and Chairman of RealNetworks and Rob Williams who was a Microsoft executive. The SocialEyes co-founders feel like video hasn't kept up with other social networking applications. Their solution is designed to fill that gap.
