A number of great, low cost options for managed hosting and deployment have arisen in the web development world, and Heroku is a startup that's grabbed a lot of attention. I've been using Google App Engine a lot lately, but I've heard great things about Heroku, and I may switch over in order to do some Ruby on Rails experimentation and development.
